Malang - Fused Glass Wall Art - Various Colours

Malang is one of my first wall panels from my latest collection 'From Above'. It's created from 'Bullseye' glass. Each intricate piece is hand cut and the edges smoothed before constructing the piece.

The bespoke design is inspired from a city called Malang in Java, Indonesia. It's a colourful rooftop city with a river running through the centre of it.

I really enjoyed creating this artwork, as it was so different from my previous collections. The images show how the artwork looks in the day and at night. I love how different it looks at different times of the day and the transmitted light coming through the glass.
