Mexico - Fused Glass - Curved Light Catcher - Blues/Greens

This kiln-formed glass light catcher is stunning. Its intricate design is bespoke and inspired from a photograph, that I took on the beach in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.

Each individual segment of glass is hand cut and all the edges are cold worked, before it is fired in the kiln. The curved design creates beautiful transmitted light through the glass. I have used lustres on the surface of the glass in some areas, resulting in iridescent effects.

This artwork looks wonderful on a piece of furniture or in front of a window.
