Overlay - Kiln-formed Glass - Large Curved Light Catcher - Multi Colours

This stunning curved kiln-formed artwork is from my 'Overlay' Collection, these are my most sculptural glass artworks so far. The collection was originally designed and created for an exhibition in London, with the 'Society of Designer Craftsmen'

This collection was created with overlaying strips of glass and using multiple firings in the kiln, the artworks were then formed over and into large moulds. The front of the curve is very textured and the back has a smoother finish with more definite lines. The transmitted light through the artwork is beautiful and in places it has a lustre on the surface which shimmers.
